HP SPROUT I NEED YOU!

image

Current talk of the tech world – HP SPROUT.
After watching the videos on the HP website I’m in love!

The machine uses a touch mat and in-built 3D camera as its main controls, leaving a keyboard and mouse as optional extras.
It projects graphics onto its mat to provide its owners with a limitless range of options!!!!

You can also capture objects by placing real-world products on top of the surface, allowing the items to be scanned and then reproduced as graphics that appear on the mat and can be manipulated by hand.
Alternatively, the machine can create 3D-printer files that can be edited on the main screen before being turned into physical objects or shared with others.

Wowowowowoowowwww! Need need need!

KTZ – AW15/16

I LOVE KTZ!
In my eyes, they can do no wrong! Every collection so different from the previous but somehow they manage to keep the typical KTZ signature style. Bold, Aztec & Nordic style coloured prints throughout – love love love love!
Slightly more demure than the usual collections we see from this daring brand! Opinions??

FYODOR GOLAN SS15 -LFW

Designers Fyodor Podgomy & Golan Fydman met whilst both working for fashion houses in London, in 2011 they joined forces and launched their label ‘Fyodor Golan’. Every season the collections never fail to impress & there was no exception with there SS15 catwalk show at London Fashion Week! Set in a graffiti splattered, Southbank railway tunnel, models effortlessly strutted down the runway wearing a vast array of garments. From the moment the show began it is clear to see that the designers muse is a ‘young’ and ‘confident’ individual; sportswear aesthetic fused to women’s luxury. All the looks give me the feeling of 90s rave culture merging with modern day futuristic designs. The digital prints, holographic designs and surface manipulations are what make this collection 21st century! The garments range from sleek, simplified and streamlined dresses to fluorescent suits on monochrome minis – but somehow the garments work as mix and match! Vibrant textures and patterned elements make subtle to strong appearances throughout the collection, making it immediately recognisable!

I personally LOVE the way the individual garments are so versatile – for example the leaf printed jumper could be made in to a casual, everyday outfit with some simple jeans, or as a compliment to the holographic skirt for a party look!

NYFW – ADAM SELMAN SS15 – 05/09

Saturday saw Adam Selman debut his first runway collection at the prestigious New York Fashion Week and it proved to be a hit! Assisting Rihanna in designing her River Island collection & creating her iconic CFDA Fashion Icon, full Swarovski crystal dress are just a couple of Adam Selman’s rather impressive achievements of the last 2 years!
The show had quirky, 90s childhood feel – straw visors and pastel swimwear – Selman really let his country club teenage years shine through.
I personally LOVE this collection, it’s fun, but not over the top – it works perfectly and there’s not a garment in the collection I wouldn’t wear!
Rih Rih was of course in attendance to support her fashion sidekick, wearing the white dress from Adam’s SS15 collection – sure to be a sellout!

It’s “Mary GENIUS” to You!

grandexecution

I had chills in my spine viewing Mary Katrantzou’s 2015 RTW Resort Collection!

Born in Athens in 1983 and graduated in MA Fashion from Central Saint Martins, this talented lady has made her mark and Grand Execution gives her a huge stamp of approval!

Talk about patterns, textures, and details galore!

Mary says: Print can be as definitive as a cut or a drape and allows a woman to filter beauty found in design, in a subversive way. All my prints are constructed through digital technology. Digital print allows me to experiment with print in a way that fine art and other methods could not. It opens up a huge spectrum for possibility; I can create possibility out of impossibility, surrealism out of realism and both vice versa.

C’mon now, admit it……she’s BRILLIANT!!!
