Designers Fyodor Podgomy & Golan Fydman met whilst both working for fashion houses in London, in 2011 they joined forces and launched their label ‘Fyodor Golan’. Every season the collections never fail to impress & there was no exception with there SS15 catwalk show at London Fashion Week! Set in a graffiti splattered, Southbank railway tunnel, models effortlessly strutted down the runway wearing a vast array of garments. From the moment the show began it is clear to see that the designers muse is a ‘young’ and ‘confident’ individual; sportswear aesthetic fused to women’s luxury. All the looks give me the feeling of 90s rave culture merging with modern day futuristic designs. The digital prints, holographic designs and surface manipulations are what make this collection 21st century! The garments range from sleek, simplified and streamlined dresses to fluorescent suits on monochrome minis – but somehow the garments work as mix and match! Vibrant textures and patterned elements make subtle to strong appearances throughout the collection, making it immediately recognisable!
I personally LOVE the way the individual garments are so versatile – for example the leaf printed jumper could be made in to a casual, everyday outfit with some simple jeans, or as a compliment to the holographic skirt for a party look!
